What will happen to the existing GED classroom?
Learners already enrolled in USAHello’s GED preparation classroom will be able to access the course till August 31, 2025. After that the course will be phased out and only the new classroom will be available for registration. Keep studying in old classroom here
No. Your progress from the old classroom will not be transferred to the new classroom. When registering in the new classroom, you will have to create a new account. If you are nearly finished with the course in the existing classroom, we highly recommend you complete it before August 31, 2025.
If you recently registered, or started the course in the existing classroom, we recommend you get started in the new classroom.
Can I start a new subject in the old classroom?
No, you can only finish subjects you've already started in the current classroom until August 31, 2025.
Anyone, all are welcome! This class is especially helpful for any young person and/or adult learners who want to earn a high school equivalency diploma. You do not need to provide any identification, or have any prior education requirements to take the course.
Can I take the course in Spanish?
Yes. The GED® class is available in both English and Spanish.
You can choose your language at the top of any page by clicking “Choose your language.”
When you are ready to take the GED® test, you can also take it in English or Spanish.
Yes, once you join a class you can request a proof of enrollment which you can share with whomever you’d like.
You can also request a certificate of completion, after you have completed all requirements for the relevant subject.

Does USAHello offer live tutoring with a real teacher?
No.
USAHello does not offer live tutoring with real teachers, either in person or online. All of our courses are self-paced and asynchronous.
Why are the classes free?
Our classes are completely free because we are a non-profit organization that receives funding to help immigrants. We will never ask you for payment or credit card information.
We believe that everyone should have access to learning and opportunities.
There is no deadline. Go as fast or as slow as you like.
Some learners finish several lessons in a few days. Others take their time and study over weeks or months.
